　鮮やかな青春の記憶は、ほころびていた。その壁を越えて、新しい世界を描く勇気を持って。この物語は、誰もが見て見ぬふりをする「エビデンス」と呼ばれる舞台裏の影に光を当てる。

　日本の英語教育の歴史は、受験参考書のページに閉じ込められたままである。過去50年、変わることなくそこにある。しかし、その古びた言葉は、アメリカの若者にとっては時代遅れの言葉となる。ジジイの英語、そう呼ばれるのは、なぜなのか。

　その理由は簡単だ。大学の教授たちや予備校の講師たちが、新しい風を拒絶し、権威にしがみついているからだ。彼らの支配下にある参考書は、時の流れを捉えることなく、古びたままの姿を保ち続けている。

　入試問題も同じだ。過去50年、変わらぬ形式が繰り返されている。その理由もまた、大学の権威たちによるものだ。彼らが作り出す枠組みに縛られ、若者たちは自らの才能を発揮する余地を奪われている。

　そして、現実の教育現場を見れば、更なる矛盾が明らかになる。医学部を目指す生徒を落第者が導き、英語能力を持つ教員が、その指導にあたる。日本の教育は、免許や資格によって権威が与えられ、その枠組みの中でしか教育が成り立たない。

　これが、彼らが「きちんと管理された制度」と呼ぶものか。実に愚かな世界だ。

Memories of vivid youth were fraying. We dare to go beyond those walls and paint a new world. This story sheds light on the behind-the-scenes shadows called "evidences" that everyone pretends not to see.

The history of English education in Japan remains confined to the pages of examination reference books. It has been there, unchanged, for the past 50 years. But that old language has become obsolete to American youth. Geezer's English, they call it, and why?

The reason is simple. It is because professors at universities and instructors at prep schools refuse to accept the new winds and cling to their authority. The reference books under their control do not capture the passage of time and continue to look old.

The same is true of entrance exam questions. For the past 50 years, the same format has been repeated. The reason for this is also due to the authority of the universities. The framework they have created deprives young people of the opportunity to demonstrate their talents.

A look at the real world of education reveals further contradictions. Students aiming for medical school are guided by failures, and teachers with English language skills are assigned to guide them. In Japanese education, authority is given by licenses and qualifications, and education can only take place within that framework.

This is what they call a "well-governed system. It is indeed a foolish world.
