Whispers from artworks

Whispers from artworks.

The other day, I went to an art exhibition. The feature is painters in some local areas.
The numbers are so immense that I was too exhausted to appreciate them all.
I loved quite a few paintings. I should have savored a feeling of satisfaction, but I was struck with intense weariness.
Appreciating many art works really tires me out. I sometimes get a headache. Do I concentrate all my attention on them?
The way I appreciate art is as follows. First, I muse for a while on artworks without preconception. Second, I write down things that I notice and come across my mind.
If I find my favorite, I mark it with a double circle. If I want to read an explanatory label, I give a cursory glance at it.
Finally, I gaze at my favorite paintings again and say good-bye to them.
I keep a brochure and work list for every art exhibition.
I have done such a thing for a long time. I often have opportunities to encounter the same artworks. I talk to them in my mind. It is just like the reunion with old friends.
This makes me think anew about what brings me to appreciate artworks.
That's because I want to be inspired by artworks.
Unlike childhood, We lead a monotonous life without excitement. We tend to be apathetic toward everything.
Art is my chief source of inspiration. Artworks lift me up. I derive various feelings such as empathy, fear, and awareness from them.
They are more than just a pretty face. Art is as difficult to handle as humans.
They whisper to me. I manage to listen to their voices.
It is hard to meet many people at the same time. Similarly, it is troublesome to appreciate many artworks at one time.
You should take a break if you want to enjoy a lot of artworks.
